My Story
A bummer story to get to a happy place.
To help pay for college, my sister and I painted faces on Venice Beach, CA.
When I graduated with my BS in chemistry and moved to Ohio, face painting fell by the wayside. A few years ago, my sister died from pancreatic cancer, and I started face painting again as a way to remember that great summer and to keep her close.
I started face painting again and taking classes with the International Face Painting School. In April of 2026, I became a Certified Professional. There is nothing quite like the smile a kid gets when they see their painted face in the mirror. That smile is precious, and it is such an honor make it happen.
